05g_1500monks -- As the crowd gets more dense and preparations continue, young military cadets (like high school ROTC) stream in and take their positions. They will hold large plastic bags behind the monks for the dumping of the alms bowls, this huge number of plastic bags to be collected later. The lady in white here is passing out special money sticks on which we were invited to place paper money as a donation to assist in this cause.
