This view of the southwest end of the massive submarine
"pen" shows more of the older breakwater, which was most likely the location
from where Harry St.Clare took his photo #101 of the US Air Station. For an
official RAF photo of this huge reinforced concrete structure with the following
caption, "Concrete U-boat pens at Brest showing damage sustained after bombing
attacks by the Royal Air Force"
