"MAYFLOWER PASSENGER" -- Signed Mayflower Compact. "A 1620 Mayflower passenger, John Tilley arrived at Plymouth with his wife Joan (Hurst), his daughter Elizabeth Tilley, and his brother Edward Tilley.... John and his wife left children in Bedfordshire who could conceivably have left descendants, though none living today is yet known." (Ply. Col., p. 362)

He was married to Joan HURST on 20 Sep 1596 in Henlow, Bedford, England.

1799. Joan HURST (909)(723) (910) (photo) was born before 13 Mar 1567/68 in Henlow, Bedford, England. She was baptised on 13 Mar 1567/68 in Henlow, Bedford, England. She died about 1621 in Plymouth, Plymouth Co., MA. "MAYFLOWER PASSENGER" -- "The wife of John Tilley, Joan accompanied him on the 1620 Mayflower, and they died soon after arrival at Plymouth. ... She had earlier been widowed from a Thomas Rogers, but this was not the Mayflower Thomas Rogers." (Ply. Col., p. 312) "Joan had a daughter, Joan, bp. 26 May 1594, Henlow, Bedford, England by her first husband." (Gen. Sum.) Children were:

child ii. John TILLEY(723) (911) was born in 1599 in England. He was baptised on 26 Aug 1599 in Henlow, Bedford, England. He died in Oct 1636 in Windsor or Saybrook, CT. "m. poss. Edith (---) who m2 Nicholas Camp, 1646. May have had a child, but very circumstantial." Mayflower Increasings book has marriage information as "c1634, poss. Dorchester."
child iii. Rose TILLEY(723) was baptised on 28 Feb 1601/2 in Henlow, Bedford, England.
