106. Elijah BURRIS (photo) was born in 1750. He signed a will on 23 Mar 1798 in (prob.) Monongalia Co., WV. He died after 23 Mar 1798 in Mononglia Co., WV. He was also known as Abraham Burris.(357) (358) (PHOTO - Stone marks the homesite of Elijah & Sarrah Burris near Morgantown, West Virginia.) He was married to Sarah MORGAN.

107. Sarah MORGAN (359) (photo) was born in 1765 in Frederick Co., VA. She died in 1791. She was buried in (near) Morgantown, WV. Sarah was 14 when she went, with her 16 year old brother Stephen, from Prickett's Fort to the family farm 1 mile distant, and on this occasion was nearly attacked by 2 Indians. Her father came to the rescue resulting in 2 Indians being killed. "... was the mother of a large family." A monument (PHOTO) has been erected at her grave near Morgantown. The following is the inscription on this monument transcribed from a less than perfect photograph.
