2348. Siver Steinson
(784)
(980). "6. Siver Steinson was the oldest of Stein's two sons
(No. 5) who we have knowledge about. He lived at Jelsa in 1600 when he signed
a document concerning distribution of a heritage together with Eiluf Bustad.
Siver Steinson died probably in the great year of plague in 1601. In 1602 his
widow had remarried the widower Orm Nilsson Bokn. Probably she was a Bårdsdaughter.
Erik Bårdson Hidle named her son, Stein Siverson, his sister's son. Children:
a. Stein Siverson b. about 1595 (no. 9), is the only one who we are quite certain
is his son. We believe that Sevat Siverson who in 1621 got a letter of lease
concerning half of Foldøy is his son. Later on in connection with a renewal
of the lease of Foldøy the name is Eiluf Siverson, probably two brothers."
